The Society has been working together for the last ten years. Raising awareness about health and effective behavior change is a slow and tedious process. In comparison to other development related activities, tangible benefits are perceived by the community quite late in a project cycle. That to with sustain effort because of it health activities needs to be initiated in a network cycle. Sexuality and reproductive health issues and problems were taboo subject, never before discussed within the limits of a house hold. Hence, it was difficult for organisation to start taking about health issues with the women. Health issues were not a prioritized need for the poor, as it was not linked with any economic gains. These people are interested in initiating other more need based activities specially those which could give them some economic benefits. Group formation and society networking took longer then expected and consequently, sustaining the group interest over a long period became difficult. Under these circumstances sustaining the group interest became difficult. It was not untill some women reported benefits that participation in the group meeting had brought two their lives that the groups and networking of the organisation became more cohesive and more focused.

Since the programme is to benefit the community, the role of community in the implementation and benefit transfer of the programme is assured since beginning, community is also made vigilant to closely look the programme so that feedback from the community could be obtained. Community participation ensures the benefit of the progarmme to the targeted group and the organization motivate and make the community responsible to partner with the programme.

We maintain very close relation with the officials concerned with the project and programmes. The government officials time to time visit to monitor the running programme funded by various department/ministries. We are also invited at district and state level to participate and contribute in formal meetings organized by departments.

Donors

We are not working with external donors. We are getting grant-in-aid from district, state government and Govt. of India.

Public Relations

We maintain a high level of public relation in our working area and often we organize discussion meeting to strengthen our relation with public.

Advocacy

Many programme run by the organization are advocacy based and the advocacy oriented programmes are planned, implemented e.g. child labour and child right, trafficking of women and girls, migrant labour, land right, health, environment, etc.
